The City of Kalamazoo’s Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (BRA) hosted a thought-provoking presentation by Tracy Cross & Associates, Inc. to area developers on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at Kalamazoo City Hall in the Commission Chambers, 2nd. floor, at 241 West South Street.

Mr. Cross shared the results of two residential market studies performed for the City of Kalamazoo and its BRA. The focus of the presentation was on four publicly owned parcels (former Public Safety sites) and on River’s Edge on the northeast edge of downtown. Mr. Cross also addressed the condition of the Kalamazoo downtown housing market and recommended housing products for each site and area. Incentives offered to support future projects were also covered.

“This was an insightful discussion about Kalamazoo’s downtown housing market and the many opportunities available for development,” said Jerome Kisscorni, Executive Director of the Economic Development Corporation.

Following the hour-long presentation, there was a Q&A session and a networking reception.
