Food Dance was one of the first restaurants to locate in Kalamazoo's downtown, in what is now a thriving dining and entertainment district. Since 1994, Food Dance has been dedicated to serving the best-tasting breakfasts, lunches and dinners using locally-produced and hand-made ingredients. Why the emphasis on local food? Simply put, it just tastes better and great-tasting food is what we do. Our menu has a wide variety of original dishes, including fresh fish and seafood, chicken, steak, pizza and vegetarian. We like to call it eclectic because it has influences from many different kinds of cuisine (and we can't think of any other way to describe it). Our customers just call it delicious.

You can see our commitment to locally-produced, quality food through our community involvement, and connection to local farmers and suppliers. Popular wine-tastings, cooking classes and special dinners are held at Food Dance on a monthly basis. The regulars tell us that the beautiful, artful environment and the warm, friendly way that they are treated at Food Dance keep them coming back.

In the spring of 2007, Food Dance will be relocating and expanding its operation one block east in the 401 E. Michigan Building, now under renovation. The expansion will include more dining space, a cafe, and a food market with wines and a wide selection of ready-to-go foods.

Food Dance is open Tuesday through Saturday for breakfast, lunch and dinner and on Sunday
