Scott A. Borling, CMC, City Clerk
Scott began his career with the City in August 2000 and was appointed as the City Clerk in April 2005. Prior to his current appointment he served as the Acting City Clerk, Deputy City Clerk, and Archives and Records Clerk. In 2008, Scott served on one of Secretary of State Terri Lynn Land's Election Modernization sub-committees. Scott is a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and holds an M.A. in medieval studies from Western Michigan University and a B.A. in history from Cedarville University. Scott is a member of the Michigan Association of Municipal Clerk’s (MAMC), the International Institute of Michigan Clerks (IIMC), the Association of Records Managers and Associates (ARMA), and the Election Center.
Shelby Moss, Deputy City Clerk
Tony Wright, Archives Specialist
Tony has worked for the City since 2000, a part-time instructor at Kellogg Community College and is a two time All-Star Employee. In 2009, Tony was elected President of the Kalamazoo Municipal Employees Association (KMEA). He has a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in public history from Wright State University. Tony has ten years of records management and archival experience working for local and county governments; a public university; and a professional business organization. Along with his work experience, Tony has been involved in various public history organizations such as The Kalamazoo Public History Roundtable (KPHR), The Association of Records Managers and Associates (ARMA), and The Michigan Archival Association (MAA). Tony is a member of the Society of American Archivists (SAA).
Lisa Watkin, Election Specialist
Lisa returned to the City Clerk's Office in January 2007 as the Election Specialist. From 2000 to 2005, Lisa was the part-time Election Clerk/Typist for the City of Kalamazoo. Lisa has also worked in elections for Allegan County.
Jeff Welc, Archives Records Clerk
Jeff has worked with the City Clerk's office since 2002 in both the Elections and Records Management divisions. Jeff is a graduate of the University of Detroit-Mercy, and has a master’s degree in Public History at Western Michigan University.
