Fall Leaf Collection Schedule 2012
In 2012, the City of Kalamazoo will be offering two scheduled leaf collections. To see when the leaves in your area are scheduled to be picked up please see the
map or the
list of streets with pick up dates.
We are asking that residents place their leaves in the curb lawn, (the area between the street and the sidewalk), or place them in brown biodegradable paper bags onto the curb lawn. PLASTIC BAGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Do not place leaves directly into the street as they become slippery and create a hazard to the motoring traffic. They also plug the storm sewers and may be plowed back into your curb lawn and driveway should snow and ice control efforts be necessary.
The patience of the public is much appreciated as Public Services staff works diligently to pick up as many leaves as possible and keep the streets clean of snow and safe for travel during the winter months.
