The City of Kalamazoo is in the process of seeking a new City Attorney (who will be appointed by the City Commissioners). The City of Kalamazoo has launched a brief online survey where residents can give their input on the preferred traits and skills for the next City Attorney.
The Board of Review hears citizen appeals regarding property assessments. This board has the power to raise or lower the assessed value of properties in light of the evidence presented and in accordance with state law.
The Board of Review meets for three weeks in March to hear appeals beginning on the first Tuesday after the first Monday. It also meets in July and December to approve corrections to the Assessment Roll.
