Public meeting to be held Wednesday, May 5 on the Harrison/Gull Roundabout Project

The City of Kalamazoo will hold an informational meeting on Thursday, May 5 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. to provide details and answer questions concerning the roundabout construction project at Harrison Street and Gull Road. The meeting, which will be held in cooperation with the Northside Association for Community Development, will take place at 734 & 738 Harrison Street near the intersection.

This project will include a complete reconstruction of the intersection at Harrison Street and Gull Road, which will be converted into a roundabout. Ransom Street and Gull Road between Walbridge Street and Caves Court will also undergo a complete reconstruction including subbase, base, asphalt, curb, and sidewalk. Sanitary, storm, and water infrastructure will also be replaced. North Street between Harrison Street and Gull Road will also be resurfaced.

This project is scheduled to begin early summer and be completed this November. Traffic will be maintained throughout construction by a posted detour, and access to businesses will be maintained and signed.

All interested residents are encouraged to attend.
