NON-MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING/SITE INSPECTION

2.1       SCOPE OF WORK

Annual renewable material management onsite or transported to a MDEQ licensed facility.  The successful contractor will compost and/or load and remove an estimated 13,000 cubic yards of renewable materials at/from the City of Kalamazoo Leaf Compost site located at 3010 E. Michigan Avenue.  Composting operations at the site must be in accordance with MDEQ part 115 rules and regulations.  Any materials transported, handled and converted to end use renewables at sites other than the City of Kalamazoo site shall do so in accordance with MDEQ part 115 rules and regulations.  The successful contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, fuel, equipment, bulk transport, loading and offloading to facilitate the performance of the work.  All items are inclusive to the pay item paid by the units of cubic yards removed. 

This three-year term contract work shall be completed between:

December 1, 2022, and November 30, 2023

December 1, 2023, and November 30, 2024

December 1, 2024, and November 30, 2025

following an annual December to November cycle after that.

2.2       PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

Composting operations at the site must be in accordance with MDEQ part 115 rules and regulations.  Any materials transported, handled and converted to end use renewables at sites other than the City of Kalamazoo site shall do so in accordance with MDEQ part 115 rules and regulations.
