Share Your Feedback

Our goal as City staff is to empower the people in our community, make city services easier and more efficient, and realize the community vision that we created together. The people of Kalamazoo are at the heart of all of our work, and your voices are essential. We welcome comments, questions, and feedback always, and there are many ways to share them.

Public Meetings

All official meetings of official City of Kalamazoo boards & commissions are open to the public and accept public comments. Community members are welcome to attend any of these meetings and offer their comments. General public comments on any topic are welcomed at all City Commission meetings, and Regular Agenda items have their own specific comment periods. Each board and commission also welcomes public comments that are relevant its work. Some of these public meetings are also live streamed on Facebook and YouTube and accept comment by telephone.

Project and Planning Meetings

The City regularly hosts dedicated meetings to discuss large projects or ongoing planning efforts. We are specifically looking for feedback at these meetings so they are a great way to get involved and speak directly to the members of our team who are working on these projects. We take public comments and ideas very seriously and appreciate the opportunity to design projects with these feedback in mind.

You can find these engagement meetings in the event calendar- just filter by the category "Get Involved." You can also view upcoming meetings here in a listing.

Surveys and Polls

Our team also uses online or mailed surveys to get feedback for specific projects. These may include an opportunity for open-ended feedback, but sometimes we are looking to draw comparisons or prioritize and use standardized questions and responses. You're always welcome to reach out and share additional feedback if you like. These types of opportunities can be found at www.imaginekalamazoo.com.
