HUD Grant Application Training Sessions

The City of Kalamazoo is hosting mandatory training sessions for nonprofit organizations and housing developers interested in applying for upcoming federal funding through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.

These sessions will give you the tools and information needed to successfully apply for HUD public service funding in the 2027 program year. We’ll cover:

  • An overview of the public services funding and eligible activities
  • Step-by-step instructions for completing the application
  • Federal compliance requirements you need to know
  • Key deadlines and next steps in the application process

Attendance at one session is required in order to apply for funding.

Training Session Dates

You only need to attend one of the following:

  • Training Session 1: Tuesday, August 11th from 11:00 a.m. to approx. 12:00 p.m.
  • Training Session 2: Thursday, August 13th from 2:00 p.m. to approx. 3:00 p.m.

Both sessions will cover the same material.

Who Should Attend?

  • Nonprofit organizations providing services to Kalamazoo residents

Must be a 501c3 nonprofit organization to apply.
