Water main will be replaced on Porter Street between Kalamazoo Avenue and Frank Street in 2024. The current water main dead ends and will be replaced with a continuous section that is a standardized size. Once utility work is completed, the road will be resurfaced and pedestrian features will be rebuilt as needed.
We expect this project to take approximately 10 weeks to be completed, but a firm schedule has not been set. We estimate work will begin this summer.
Due to the depth of the utilities and the nearby creek and railroad, this project will utilize directional boring, and there will be road closures during the project. More information will be posted to this page as soon as additional details are confirmed.
