HUD Grant Opportunities and Applicant Training Announced for 2027

The City of Kalamazoo announces the upcoming application process for approximately $120,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds for public service activities for the 2027 Program Year (July 1, 2027—June 30, 2028).

  • Must be a 501c3 nonprofit organization to apply.
  • Activity must be consistent with the 2025 – 2029 Consolidated Plan(PDF, 13MB)
  • Activity must benefit low-income persons or households in the city.
  • The public service activity must be eligible under HUD.

Your organization must attend one of the mandatory virtual training session to be eligible to apply. The Application Submission Training sessions are as follows:

  • Training Session 1: Tuesday, August 11th from 11:00 a.m. to approx. 12:00 p.m.
  • Training Session 2: Thursday, August 13th from 2:00 p.m. to approx. 3:00 p.m.

To RSVP for a session please email cpedcompliance@kalamazoocity.org at least 30 minutes prior to meeting start time and a return email will provide the meeting access information.
