In response to increasing food insecurities and uncertainty around SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits due to the federal government shutdown, the City of Kalamazoo is hosting a food drive to help meet the community need. Donations will benefit Kalamazoo Loaves & Fishes.
The public is invited to participate by dropping off food items at Kalamazoo City Hall during regular business hours, beginning Wednesday, November 12 through Thursday, November 20.
