Consent Agenda (G)

The City Commission approved items G1-3 and G5-20. Item G4 was moved to the Regular Agenda:

1. Approval of a one-year agreement with OpenGov, Inc. for the OpenGov suite of software in the amount of $112,291.15.
2. Approval of a contract extension with Kendall Electric Inc for inventory and non- inventory electrical supplies in the amount of $148,699.10.
3. Approval of a contract with Alta Planning & Design, Inc. for the development of a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Intersection Upgrade and Pedestrian Safety Plan in the amount of $149,299.
4. Approval of a contract with Rathco Safety Supply for pilot cycle track installation on Lovell Street and Stadium Drive and the restriping of Portage Street in the amount of $167,383.10.
5. Approval of a contract with L&T Painting for the Parchment Water Tower Project in the amount of $179,050.
6. Approval of a contract with Division 7 for replacing two sections of roof at the Central Pump Facility in the amount of $181,600.
7. Approval of a contract with Peters Construction Company for the relocation of water main on Squires Drive and Inkster Avenue as part of the Water Main Deflection Project in the amount of $199,950.
8. Approval of a construction agreement with CD Arena LLC for $225,600 for the construction of water and wastewater systems and to approve the City Manager to authorize up to $55,000 in project contingencies for approved additional project costs.
9. Approval of a two-year extension to the five-year lease for office space for the Community Planning and Economic Development Department at 245 N Rose Street for $241,333.20.
10. Adoption of a RESOLUTION approving a contract with the Michigan Department of Transportation for hot mix asphalt cold milling, resurfacing, and pedestrian improvements on Howard Street for the estimated total amount of $722,000, with the local portion being $248,400.
11. Adoption of a RESOLUTION establishing a corrected Community Planning & Economic Development Department 2024 fee schedule.
12. Adoption of a RESOLUTION scheduling a public hearing for May 13, 2024 to receive comments on the Program Year 2024 HUD Action Plan.
13. Adoption of a RESOLUTION adopting the FY2025 Clean Water State Revolving Fund Project Plan for Wastewater System Improvements and designating James J. Baker, PE, as the Authorized Project Representative.
14. Adoption of a RESOLUTION setting forth the salaries of the City Commission appointees (City Manager, City Clerk, and the Internal Auditor), effective April 15, 2024.
15. Adoption of a Michigan Liquor Control Commission RESOLUTION recommending approval of an application from the Board of Trustees of Western Michigan University for a Class C Liquor License with Banquet Permit to be located at the WMU Student Center, 1070 Arcadia Loop.
16. Adoption of a RESOLUTION to vacate the northern seventeen (17) feet of West Water Street, between North Park Street and North Westnedge Avenue.
17. Approval of the allocation of $30,000 from the City Commission Initiative Fund for the purchase of a vehicle to transport youth to and from programming for the Police Athletic League.
18. Approval of FY 2023 and FY 2024 budget amendments and acceptance of informational reporting on capital project carryforwards and grant acceptances.
19. Approval of an amendment to Recycling Partnership Multifamily Grant Agreement and an amendment to the grant budget in the amount of $100,000.
20. Approval of a Settlement Agreement and Mutual Release among the City of Kalamazoo, the City of Kalamazoo Downtown Development Authority, the City of Kalamazoo Downtown Economic Growth Authority, Downtown Tomorrow, Inc., the Kalamazoo Community Foundation, Development Financial, Inc, and Metropolitan Center, LLC in the amount of $403,052.40.

1. Approval of a contract with Ferguson Waterworks for Annual Purchase of Miscellaneous Water Inventory in the amount of $1,172,536.86. (Action: Motion to approve)
2. Approval of a contract extension with Rieth-Riley Construction Co., Inc. for Asphalt Paving Materials in the amount of $1,259,500. (Action: Motion to approve)
3. Approval of a contract with Rathco Safety Supply for pilot cycle track installation on Lovell Street and Stadium Drive and the restriping of Portage Street in the amount of $167,383.10. (moved from Consent Agenda item G4)
