Report Fraud or Abuse

It is essential that the public have confidence in the integrity and impartiality of those who act on their behalf in government. If you are aware of fraud or abuse involving the City of Kalamazoo or its employees, vendors, or contractors, please report using this form. All reports are taken seriously and investigated in accordance with the City's fraud and abuse policies.

The Internal Auditor does not investigate identify theft or alleged fraud and abuse by other organizations. These should be reported to the appropriate authority so that they can be investigated fully.

Kalamazoo's Internal Auditor investigates reports of fraud or abuse committed by the City of Kalamazoo's employees, contractors, and vendors. Only report fraud and abuse to the City's Internal Auditor if it involves one of these groups.

Alleged fraud or abuse by other individuals or organizations should be reported too, but to the appropriate authority.

Use the form below to report an incident of fraud or abuse involving the City of Kalamazoo's employees, contractors, or vendors. Provide as much detail as possible, including any witnesses and supporting documentation.

We will make every effort to protect your identity, however government emails and documents may be subject to the Freedom of Information Act. You can report anonymously too, but the Internal Auditor will not be able to follow up regarding your report.

Step 2.Visit the Internal Auditor's Office at City Hall

You can report suspected fraud or abuse in person by visiting the Internal Auditor's office on the third floor of City Hall. We suggest you call or email in advance to make sure they will be available to meet with you in person.
