Non-essential City of Kalamazoo offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24, and Thursday, December 25, in observance of Christmas. Regular hours will resume on Friday, December 26.
Leaf pickup is temporarily paused while crews focus on clearing snow from our streets. We’ll resume collection as soon as possible and continue through December 23. Thank you for your patience!
City ordinance requires all residents to help keep our community clean by properly storing garbage and waste. Trash and recycling carts must be stored in your side or rear yard, no closer to the street than the front of your house. The lid or cover must be kept closed, so you cannot have your carts or bins be overflowing.
Residents can place carts out for collection early as 8 p.m. the evening before their scheduled pickup. Carts must be removed from the curb by 11 p.m. the day of pickup.
