Inspections are required at certain project milestones and before work is covered up, concealed, or put into operation. Building permits require inspections of the foundation, the rough work (framing, firestopping, bracing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.), and a final inspection before occupancy (see requirements for obtaining building permits). Other permits like mechanical, plumbing, and electrical require an inspection before any of the work is concealed or put into operation.
The permit holder is responsible for calling and scheduling inspections at the appropriate time. Please schedule inspections at least three days in advance.
