INTENT

It is the intent of these plans and specifications to seek bids for entering into a contract for all direction, management, labor, tools and equipment necessary to install a Portland Loo restroom per specifications.

SCOPE OF WORK

The City of Kalamazoo Department of Public Services has purchased a prefabricated Portland Loo restroom that is expected to be delivered in October 2025. The City has also procured reinforcing steel (rebar) for use in restroom foundation. The Contractor shall be responsible for transporting these materials to the project site.

The Contractor shall install the Portland Loo restroom at approved site location in accordance with all project documents. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Jig Details (Appendix D)

The successful contractor shall obtain all work/building permits that might be required. The cost of the permits is the responsibility of the successful bidder.

CONTRACT PERIOD

This contract is valid for the 2025 and 2026 construction seasons, commencing upon Notice to

Proceed from the City and expiring January 31, 2026. All work is to be completed within 30 days

after on-site work begins.
