National Night Out

Join the City of Kalamazoo, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS), neighborhood associations, and community partners for National Night Out—an evening dedicated to building stronger, safer, and more connected neighborhoods.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign celebrated across the country on the first Tuesday in August. The event brings neighbors, Public Safety officers, City staff, and local organizations together in a fun, informal setting to strengthen relationships, learn about community resources, and celebrate the neighborhoods that make Kalamazoo a great place to live.

Each participating neighborhood hosts its own event, so activities vary by location. Many events include food, games, music, children's activities, community resource tables, and opportunities to meet KDPS officers, firefighters, and City staff. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Douglas Neighborhood
4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Adda Dilts Peace Park, 508 Denver St.

Westnedge Hill Neighborhood
4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Crane Park, 2100 Crane Ave.

Northside Neighborhood
5:00 – 7:30 p.m. at Northside Association for Community Development, 612 N. Park St.

Arcadia Neighborhood
5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Arcadia Elementary School, 932 Boswell Ln.

Milwood Neighborhood
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at Milwood Commons, 2031 E. Cork St.

Vine Neighborhood
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at O'Duffy's Pub, 804 W. Vine St.

Edison Neighborhood
6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Southside Park, 2156 Race St.

West Main Hill Neighborhood
