Residents impacted by the April flooding can now apply for federal disaster assistance through FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
Non-essential offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

Several railroad crossings in Kalamazoo will temporarily close in September and early October for railroad track maintenance.
Each location will be fully closed at the railroad tracks during the dates listed below. Drivers will not be able to cross the tracks and should plan to use an alternate route while work is underway.
The closures are necessary to allow railroad crews to complete maintenance at each crossing. Work will take place one location at a time according to the schedule above, although some closure periods overlap. Drivers are encouraged to review the map below and plan ahead for travel through these areas.
