Election Commission

The Kalamazoo City Election Commission is composed of the City Clerk, City Attorney, and City Assessor. The City Election Commission is responsible for caring out election related duties as specified in state law. They meet twice before each election- once to appoint Election Inspectors, and once to perform the public accuracy test.

May Special Election

• Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in the Community Room at City Hall
  • Consolidate precincts for May 5th

• Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the City Record Center, 3001 South Burdick Street
  • Appoint election inspectors for May 5th
  • Public accuracy test for May 5th 

August Primary Election

• Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the City Records Center, 3001 South Burdick Street
  • Appoint election inspectors for August 4th
  • Public accuracy test for August 4th

November Gubernatorial Election

• Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the City Records Center, 3001 South Burdick Street
  • Appoint election inspectors for November 3rd
  • Public accuracy test for November 3r
