Arthur Washington Jr. Crosstown Center

The Arthur Washington Jr. Crosstown Center is home to the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) Headquarters and several City of Kalamazoo departments, providing convenient access to a variety of public services in one location. Following the relocation of the 8th District Court to the Charles A. Pratt Justice Center in downtown Kalamazoo, the building was extensively renovated in 2026 to create modern public service, office, meeting, and training spaces for the City.

Today, the building houses the City's Community Planning & Economic Development (CPED) offices, the KDPS Records Division and public service window, administrative offices, training facilities, and other City services. Visitors can apply for permits, meet with planning and development staff, request public safety records, pay parking tickets, obtain police reports, and access a variety of other City services at the Crosstown Center.

The building is located at 150 E. Crosstown Parkway and offers free on-site parking. The public lobby is open during regular business hours. While the KDPS Headquarters is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, public-facing services are only available during normal business hours.
