CPED Offices Are Moving Starting July 28 

The City's Community Planning & Economic Development (CPED) offices are relocating to the Arthur Washington Jr. Crosstown Center at 150 E. Crosstown Parkway. To complete the move, CPED offices will be closed Tuesday, July 28, and Wednesday, July 29. Staff will resume operations on Thursday, July 30.

CPED phones will be available beginning Thursday, July 30. Permit applications can be submitted online at any time throughout the move. CPED-related payments will continue to be accepted at City Hall through Friday, July 31. Beginning Monday, August 3, payments will be accepted at the new CPED location. The new public lobby will open Monday, August 3.

If you need assistance with permits, zoning, or building questions on Thursday, July 30, or Friday, July 31, please enter through the existing east lobby at 150 E. Crosstown Parkway. Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety staff will assist visitors and connect them with the appropriate CPED staff while the new public lobby is being completed. We appreciate your patience as we complete the final stages of the move. We look forward to welcoming you to our new office.



The City's Community Planning & Economic Development Offices (CPED) are located downtown on Rose Street, just a short walk from City Hall. Offices are located on the first floor of the building. On-street parking is available nearby on Eleanor and Water Streets, and two parking ramps are located within a block.
