The City of Kalamazoo is committed to providing clean, safe drinking water to our residents, businesses, and institutions. As part of this commitment (and in compliance with state regulations), the City oversees a cross-connection control program to help prevent contaminants from entering the public water supply. Certain accounts in the water system must be routinely inspected for cross connections.
To support this effort, the City has contracted HydroCorp, a certified specialist in backflow prevention and cross-connection inspections. HydroCorp conducts on-site inspections and manages the annual testing program for backflow prevention assemblies throughout Kalamazoo. They are responsible for tracking all backflow assembly testing performed within the city of Kalamazoo.
