Location: City Hall, 241 W. South Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007

At City Hall Facility, the successful contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment to remove existing fan coil units and removing the three condensing units outside. Terminating electrical disconnects which will include recycling refrigerant and demo of old-line sets.  New fan-coil unit will need to have steam coils and chilled water coils. With eliminating outside condenser’s new chilled water piping will need to be run from basement taps points to the new fan coils for cooling. New DDC control valves to tie into the building management system including steam traps and process piping.  The intent is to save cost by tying into the existing buildings chilled water system.

The successful contractor will provide listed equipment and all related plumbing, electrical and labor to install into our systems along with tying the controls into our existing Tridium building Management system including all Lon, Bac Net or Mod Buss equipment and or programming to tie into our Tridium system.

The successful contractor shall obtain all work/building permits that might be required. The cost of the permits is the responsibility of the successful bidder.

Bidders are advised that asbestos containing material may be located in the boiler or mechanical room. It is mandatory that the bidders familiarize themselves with the asbestos containing material and said material be considered health hazard, and that all precautionary measures according to the Area Rules and Regulations be observed.

The successful bidder shall provide Public Services with two (2) operation/troubleshooting manuals for the new chiller unit.
