Lovell Street Cycle Track Pilot A pilot project will explore a two-way cycle track on Lovell Street from Pitcher to Stadium, building on the Bike Wave pilot from 2022.
Porter Street Water Main Replacement The water main will be replaced on Porter Street between Kalamazoo Avenue and Ransom Street. Announcement : Water main work outside of the railroad right-of-way is complete. The project team is currently working with the railroad to secure permits needed to complete the final portion of the project.

Arcadia Creek ("Phase 0" Westnedge Ave) The City of Kalamazoo is launching a transformative, multi-year project to rebuild and increase the capacity of Arcadia Creek. This effort will reduce the risk of flooding, protect local infrastructure, and support sustainable growth in the heart of the city. Announcement : One lane of Westnedge Avenue is planned to open between Water Street and Michigan Avenue starting August 16. A detour map is provided below.Kalamazoo Ave will be restricted to two lanes from July 20 to August 1 for utility work in the intersection.The Westnedge/Kalamazoo intersection will be fully closed starting Friday, July 25, through Monday, July 28, for utility work in the intersection.
HSIP Vulnerable Road User Safety Projects The City of Kalamazoo was awarded a $1.5 million grant to fund safety improvement projects at 30 locations in the City in 2025. The projects will improve safety for vulnerable road users (VRU) like pedestrians and bicyclists.

322 E Stockbridge Redevelopment Planning is underway to redevelop the vacant commercial property at 322 E Stockbridge into as many as 200 new units of housing in a way that better manages stormwater and helps mitigate flooding.
