Downtown Businesses Invited to Apply for Match on Main Grant

The City of Kalamazoo is inviting downtown small businesses to apply for an opportunity to receive grant funding through the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s (MEDC) Match on Main program.

Design Contract Approved for “Spaghetti Bowl” and Surrounding Streets

TThe Kalamazoo City Commission has approved a $3 million contract with Wightman to begin designing improvements to West Michigan Avenue west of Michikal Street, the “Spaghetti Bowl” intersection area, and South and Lovell streets. The work is funded through a federal RAISE (Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity) Planning Grant.

Natural Features Protection Review Board

The NFP Review Board provides expert knowledges on natural features, development, or construction to help staff with Site Plan Review. NFP Board approval is needed before a site plan can be approved in NFP Overlay areas.
